Summary Ag nanowire based transparent electrodes have better optical and electric properties and are more affordable than their ITO based counterparts, making them a good alternative to the ITO based ones.

Ag nanowire breaks at over 200 degrees Celsius due to thermodynamic instability, resulting in deteriorating optical and electric properties.

This keeps them from being used for OLED or transparent heaters for automobiles.
