for Global Commercialization
KAIST Global Commercialization Center (GCC) was established in 2015 to promote the global expansion of excellent technologies and business models developed by universities, research institutes, and companies.
GCC is gradually expanding its scope and field of cooperation from developing countries to developed countries, and from ICT and science technology to convergence technology and digital transformation technology. As of March 2023, our center has a total of 47 regional cooperation bases in 43 countries around the world, and is moving quickly toward global commercialization of core industries such as self-driving cars, robots, semiconductors, and biomedical sector.
The competitiveness of GCC comes from KAIST. We suggest the path to global success of startups by actively discovering KAIST's technological resources desired by overseas consumers. At the global deploying stage, we cooperate with on-campus organizations such as the KAIST International Office(IO), KAIST Institute of Technology Value Creation(ITVC), and STARTUP KAIST to play a part in systematic support ranging from global startups creation to localized BM. In this process, graduates of KAIST's Global Information & Telecommunication Technology Program(ITTP) who are working as public officials or experts around the world are also contributing greatly to the localization cooperation.
GCC will create an ‘open global startup & commercialization platform’ that directly finds and connects overseas demand and domestic technology and even supports localization. We welcome all of you who dream of going global.
